Summer Update for War Thunder

 

War Thunder celebrates summer with a new content update, 1.61, introducing new tanks, new planes, some modifications, the new reinforcement feature, and squadron battles seasons.

The update adds the medium American tank M60A1 and the medium Soviet tank T-62. The first features a strong frontal armour, and the latest a 115mm gun effective with any kind of shells. It also adds the American tank M4A5, the German Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär, the Japanese Ki-100, and several updated models.

The most interesting thing coming with this update is the new Reinforcement features, which allows players who have lost one or more crew members to call a new crew member as replacement. In Arcade Mode a new soldier can be called in any part of the map, but in Realistic and Simulation modes, can only be called on a capture point.

Additionally, the Squadron battles have been provided with two-months seasons. At the end of each season, the top 20 clans will receive from 3,000 to 30,000 Golden Eagles, and the top 100 clans will be rewarded with special rewards, like decals and ensigns.
