F2PMeter: Is Heroes & Generals Truly Free to Play?

Here we are again with a new episode of our popular F2PMeter series. This time we are going to test a very interesting and maybe underrated free to play Strategy/MMOFPS: Heroes and Generals, a game set during the WWII that features huge battlefields, vehicles and objective based gameplay.

The game is fun, no doubt about that, but is it truly free-to-play? Or does it force you to open your wallet in order to be competitive? Remember that games start with a 100% of free-to-play-ness, and that % will vary depending on the answers to the questions.
