Digging in Forge of Empires

Between May 2nd and May 22nd players of Forge of empires can delve into an ancient tomb and hunt for treasure. Brushing, digging or blasting, players can make their way through layers of sand to unearth idols, useful tools, vases and gems. Further into the depths persistent players can take side quests to find old clay tablets. These contain forgotten knowledge that needs to be shared with the world.

Participating in the Archaeology Event and collecting golden figures from the dig site rewards players with a unique prize: the beautiful Butterfly Sanctuary Set. The Butterfly House is an upgradeable building that can be augmented with six garden buildings, including the Marigold Patch, the Wildflower Meadow and the Sapphire Arch. To get the most out of the Butterfly House, you can place garden buildings alongside it, each bringing additional bonuses. Players can build them for Supply or Coin Boosts, Attack and Defense enhancements, as well as Forge Points and Goods.

New players can also earn the grand prizes from previous Archaeology events; the Ferris Wheel and the Airship are available within the daily rewards, so this is the perfect opportunity to add yet more assets to a growing kingdom. There are also new avatars to be unlocked and, as with the Ferris Wheel and Airship, harder to achieve characters from previous events are waiting to be unlocked.

There are also 21 gems waiting to be found; a new one is hidden somewhere in the tomb each day of the event. Those who get to May 22nd with a full gem collection are awarded a bonus, so daily logins are recommended, but for players who skip a day all is not lost; gem shards can be collected to replace any missing daily rewards.

This event brings something less conventional: multiple mini-games and quests that can be followed simultaneously. This brings a new level of complexity to a much beloved game, and firm fans of Forge of Empires should find plenty of new challenges waiting to be discovered in the tomb!
