OVERVIEW

Prime World is a competitive MMO that combines RPG elements, such as persistent hero development, with PvP, story-driven battles and castle building. Choosing from dozens of heroes that can be hired, equipped and trained, players will join the war between technology and magic to fight for victory, glory and priceless Prime on various battlegrounds. Between battles, they can customise their characters with collectible and upgradeable talents, build a thriving economy in their city, or start their own clan.

STORY

The two rival nations, the Dokht Imperium and the Keepers of Adornia, are locked in a continuous battle for control of a critical resource called Prime. This dangerous alien substance is a source of energy able to change the world and gives its users power over the latter. In this world, everyone is in need of Prime. Whoever wins more Prime will win the war and whoever controls Prime will rule the world.

FACTIONS

There are two warring faction in Prime World: the Dokht Imperium and the Keepers of Adornia. The Imperium occupies the northern territories, a mountainous terrain rich in natural resources. The people are disciplined, dedicated to their scientific studies and follow established rules. The southern province is occupied by the Keepers of Ardonia, an emotional nation that relies on powerful magic, intuition and creativity.

HEROES

Both factions offer a wide selection of currently 32 heroes each that players may choose from. Most heroes share the same gameplay mechanics for both factions, so they are identical except for their appearance. Each faction has two unique heroes though.

Heroes are characterised by five unique talents and fulfil a variety of roles in battle that go beyond the holy trinity of tank, magician and healer. Players can train their hired heroes and customise them with additional talents which can be won in battle or produced in the castle. There are more than 300 talents available in the game that players can collect and upgrade to further improve their characters.

Every hero earns XP for participating in PvP and PvE battles and subsequently gains new levels, allowing the player to permanently upgrade one of the hero's basic characteristics.

COMBAT & BATTLE MODES

In battle, players control their heroes, who comprise the strike force of the battling armies. Capturing neutral and enemy territory inch by inch, setting up ambushes, retreating and entering the fray once more, players strive to destroy their opponent’s base. In return for killing enemy soldiers, monsters, towers, and especially enemy heroes, heroes receive priceless Prime, which can be spent on new talents.

Prime World currently features six different PvP modes with more to come:

Borderland – the main game mode, a classic MOBA map with three lanes guarded by turrets and two bases.

Dragonwald - a dark and moody 4v4 mode, more PvE oriented gameplay than Borderlands.

Outpost - fast-paced 3v3 combat on a single lane.

Homeland – a defence-based mode.

Apocalypse – a zombie-ridden mode.

Shuffle mode - similar to Borderlands but with heroes randomly shuffled in a team.

In addition, players can also engage in PvE battles via a single-player campaign and coop "Challenges" missions.

CASTLE BUILDING

Prime World players own their own castle, which is the main base of operations and home to their heroes. It’s an important part of the game, allowing players to demonstrate the depths of their strategic ability. Besides managing the economy, the castle provides users with a great alternative way to develop their characters.

In the castle, players can construct various buildings, ranging from mining facilities to decorative structures, create new talents, and select sets of talents to equip their heroes with for upcoming battles. They have to feed the population, provide residences, gather raw materials, and store their products.

Almost every building in the castle can be progressively upgraded, improving its quality of work and expanding its services. This dynamic opens up an immense number of possibilities as players choose their own path by directing their castle's economy. They may focus either on their economy, earn money, and accelerate the recovery of their battle-worn heroes, or on producing talents, allowing their characters to do more in fewer battles. It’s also possible to combine both to a hybrid military/economic model.
