Piercing Blow is a Windows-based free to play FPS (first person shooter) that allows strong elements of character customisation, different game modes and a large selection of maps in which to engage in exciting adrenaline fuelled PVP battles.

GAMEPLAY

Classic team based PVP combat they are fast and furious first person shooter setting, players will gain XP through playing matches to increase their characters abilities and earn in game currency to purchase a wide variety of items and gear to be used in battle. With plenty of maps and modes to master the challenge and gameplay content is huge an extremely fun.

CUSTOMIZATION

There are numerous ways in which players can customise their Operators, by doing so players can gear their characters towards a style of play that they prefer whether up close and personal combat or keeping at long range with a sniper rifle. Players can equip a wide variety of weapons with different stats, ranges and strengths as well as choosing different armours and focusing on slot Parts to maximise their defensive capabilities. There are various Skills that can be unlocked as players reach set ranks that will give players a further edge in the game, able to move faster, deal more damage, gain more XP, these skills can be levelled up over time to make them even more powerful.

GAME MODES

In the game there is a choice of Game Modes that players can experience:

Escape - one team starts out as the Humans whose only goal is to try and escape the map by reaching the escape point within the allotted time, in the match they are up against the Dinosaur players whose only goal is to stop the other team

Deathmatch - the sole goal in this mode is to hunt down and annihilate the enemy team who will constantly respawn, with a set time limit to the team that requires the most kills or the team which reaches a set number of sketches first is declared the winner

Demolition - one team is tasked with destroying a bomb site by planting C4 charges or wiping out the defenders in a no respawn game, meanwhile the other team must defend the objective bomb site or eliminate all the attackers

Sabotage - in this mode both teams have their own bomb site objective that they must attack while simultaneously defending their own site, however players are able to respawn throughout the match and the winner is the first team to destroy the opposing objective bomb site or, if the time runs out, getting rid of the most damage to the enemy teams assets

Search & Destroy - In this map players will work together in classic Team Deathmatch, hunting down the enemy team to annihilate them in the first to kill all the enemy team is victorious

AI Challenge - a four player Co-op going up against a team of eight AI enemies whose difficulty can be set on a scale of 1 to 10, this mode is ideal for training as it does not affect your kill/death ratio in the game will end once the time limit is reached

As well as the above games there is a Custom option but players are able to choose the types of rules, time limits, scores and weapons that can be used on the map for the game if they are hosting.

MAPS

There is a huge selection of maps available covering a variety of different environments and themes, offering unique vantage points where knowing the map will give players a strong advantage, with 47 maps available it can take some time and skill to learn the layout of every map in the game.
