The Unity port then and now
Supremacy 1914: Definitive Edition launched in App stores on April 8th. When we launched, we asked for your feedback and you absolutely delivered. You provided us with lots of feedback on gameplay, UI, performance and many more. We were able to take your messages and turn them into many of actionables to improve the game, enabling us to create a better player experience together with you. The Unity version of our app is not final yet and we are working hard to include all the features that exist in the legacy app and more.
The bugs
Shipping a new version of a game, there are bound to be at least a few bugs on board. Thanks to your help, we managed to identify and squash a bunch of bugs that disrupted the gameplay experience. These range from ships getting stuck on land, fog of war glitching out and units firing in the wrong direction.
Your feedback was invaluable in identifying and getting rid of these little pests! Thanks a lot and keep it coming!
Latest Update
We are continuously reading through your feedback to get important changes and improvements into the game. Here is what we have recently done and what we will ship in the near future.

Side Menu Redesign A lot of you have asked for it. We have reworked the side menu! The goal is simple: make it more readable while using less screen space.
Performance Improvements While we are working hard on implementing features and fixing usability issues, we are constantly working on improvements to the performance of the game as well. We shipped some changes aimed at improving the performance, especially on 100 & 500 player maps. Added chat access from the Home menu.
Added Seasons and BattlePass Feature
Map & Gameplay
Added username display on capital provinces (higher zoom levels).

Decreased Unit label size to make them less obstructive
Future changes
Besides our look into our most recent changes, we want to give you a quick peek into the future and talk about what is currently in development and coming up very soon:
Quick Map Filter view
The new side menu will soon feature a new button. It will allow you to cycle through Diplomatic Relations, Morale and Individual Nations view on tap. This way you will have a new, quick way to access the different map filters. (The original map filter area will remain)
New filter on Construction and Production progress
This is a new map filter, showing you which of your provinces are busy constructing a building or producing a unit.
Lasso Tool
A frequently requested feature: the lasso tool lets you drag your finger around multiple units to select them at once. This will be available in an upcoming update.
Frequently asked questions
You asked, we bring answers. In this section you can find 10 questions that have been frequently asked in our community Discord.
Q: Why is the Unity port being made, and what benefits should players expect beyond visual changes? Supremacy 1914 is a long-running title so parts of the underlying technology have become difficult to maintain. This limits our development pace and our ability to introduce new features that enhance both the visual quality and overall player experience. Beyond graphical improvements, the Unity port enables us to develop new and engaging features that not only optimize gameplay but also offer players fresh ways to experience and interact with the game.
Q: Will the old version still be available? For the time being, yes. We do not intend to replace the current version until we are confident that your concerns have been addressed. The Definitive Edition will be developed and run alongside the Legacy version for the coming months, and a full transition will only occur once it proves to be the right decision for you.
Q: Is a PC version planned? Yes, a standalone PC version is already in development. While there is no confirmed release date yet, we are committed to delivering the PC version within a reasonable timeframe.
Q: What does the Unity port mean for current PC players? All players are able to enjoy the Definitive Edition seamlessly. Progress is fully synchronized, allowing you to switch between versions without losing any data, regardless of the platform you choose to play on.
Q: Will it run on lower-end phones? The game is currently playable on lower-end devices; however, more demanding maps may not provide the optimal experience or may even not run at all (ex: the P500 experimental map). We are nevertheless continuously working on performance improvements to expand compatibility and ensure smoother gameplay across a wider range of devices.
Q: Will accounts, Heroes, Gold, and Cards transfer? Yes, all progress and assets will transfer fully.
Q: When will 100/500-player map support and general loading stability improve? While 500-player maps are currently labeled as experimental, we recognize their popularity and the strong player interest in them. We are finalizing the first wave of performance improvements aimed at enhancing stability, particularly during late-game scenarios where activity levels are highest.
Q: Which missing functions from the current version are planned to return? Our goal is to achieve full feature parity with the Legacy version by introducing all currently missing functionality. This process is already underway, and these features will be rolled out progressively alongside our regular updates.
Q: Will zooming, labels, map contrast, and touch controls be adjusted? Absolutely. Your feedback in these areas has been extremely valuable. We have already implemented improvements to labels and visual contrast and will continue refining these elements until they meet player expectations.
Q: Is the current art direction final, or is there room for adjustment to bring back more of the WW1 feel? The overall art direction is considered final; however, we will continue to make minor refinements and adjustments where appropriate to further enhance the intended atmosphere.
