Hearthstone's The Frozen Throne Expansion Now Available

Hearthstone's latest expansion, Knights of the Frozen Throne, has officially been launched. This major content update brings to the free to play CCG 135 new cards, a new type of card (Hero Cards) that allow players to transform their heroes into Death Knights, and new gameplay mechanics.

The expansion is available for Windows, Mac PC, tablets and mobile devices. Those who log in between today and October 31 will receive three Frozen Throne card packs for free.

“The Lich King is one of our most iconic villains, and we’re excited to finally bring him—and his nine new Death Knights—to Hearthstone,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Whether they’re ascending the Frozen Throne or dueling with friends at Fireside Gatherings, we can’t wait to see how players wield these deadly new cards.”
