Celebrating its seventh anniversary since its launch, we took a First Look at Ikariam, the ancient Greece themed real-time city building strategy where players rule over their own polis (Greek for town) to work alongside neighbouring towns, open up trade, manage their resources and ultimately declare war against other players.

For our play through of this free to play browser game we had been provided with an account of a fully fleshed out town so that we could check out some of the later game features as well as a little Ambrosia (the games premium currency) to check out some of the stuff available in the shop.
