Sony Online Entertainment has announced that Vanguard will switch to free to play business model

Sony Online Entertainment has announced that its medieval fantasy MMORPG Vanguard, who just turned five years old this year, will switch to free to play business model just like other SOE games like Everquest and DC Universe Online, which have made the transition in recent months.

The transition is expected to close around next summer and in the meantime, you can find more information on the new economic model for Vanguard in the FAQ on the game's official website.
