Otherland starts its first beta
Otherland has announced that this weekend, a lucky few may test the first beta of the game. Meanwhile, the development team has released a new video which shows the simulation Five Isle, which is based on the five Chinese elements. Tad Williams, the author of the Otherland novels, makes his first appearance in this video, talking about his vision of Otherland, and enormous freedom that the game offers.
Florian Hörpel, Product Manager for Otherland: "A small, manageable group of accounts will be given access to the servers for the first closed-beta weekend. This is because we want to get a feel for the limits of the systems."
