There are four types of resources within the game:

The bones of victims are the basic resource for all the player’s buildings and units.

The higher the fortress grows, the more important Obsidian will be. It’s needed for nearly every higher building.

Fear is absolutely important for players to summon and maintain their forces.

Not that important in the beginning, Sulfur is later on needed in large amounts for every high building and unit.

There are different types of buildings that have to be placed in the appropriate area and can be upgraded to increase their capacity, efficiency or yield:

Throne of Shadow
The Throne of Shadow is the centre of the player’s power, wherefrom new resource fields are accessed, upgraded buildings are unlocked and the production is monitored.

Daemon Portal
The Daemon Portal is the gate into the world of the Wylar, which is used for legions, troop movement and transports.

Twilight Horn
The Twilight Horn enables players to join a covenant and, after several upgrades, to found their own covenant.

Cradle of Wrath
The Cradle of Wrath summons Daemons, Ghosts and Beasts and trains them for war.

Black Gate
The Black Gate is an insurmountable wall out of black Obsidian, a mighty bastion to resist enemy attacks, allowing the player’s legions to fight back invading armies way more effectively and to receive generous bonuses on their combat strength.

Eye of the Mo‘kai
The Eye vigilantly surveys the lands around the Obsidian Fortress, always scouting for enemy legions and notifying as soon as an enemy is discovered.

Seed of the Mo´Kai
The Seed of the Mo´Kai can be summoned in the nest to expand the realm by planting it into a free chasm to create a new fortress.

Boneyard, Obsidian Field, Chamber of Dread and Sulfur Plant
These are the four resource buildings, each providing a specific type and amount of resources.

Hatcheries are an elemental requirement for a large and strong legion as they store cultivated Imps until they are needed for the summoning Daemons.

All resources players have mined or looted from enemies can be stored here.

Basalt Statue
This statue functions keeps the players treasuries well hidden and safe from plundering.

The game offers a variety of different units that players can summon for combat:

Basic units
- Possessed Wylar (lower living entities to carry home the loot)
- Lower Daemon (balanced fighting capacity, good stamina, easy to summon)
- Shadow Walkers (infiltrate enemies and report about their strength and weaknesses)
- Golem (taunt the enemy, low damage, high defence)
- Raging Beast (small amount of health points but deal a great amount of damage)
- Fire Elemental (devastating fire attacks of huge range)

Advanced units
- Wylar Trails (carry a lot of resources, move quick, never grow tired)
- Daemon Warrior (balanced battle stats, superior strength)
- Shadow Rider (quick ambushes with a noise)
- Obsidian Golem (very slow but prevent legions from damage)
- Two-headed Beast (largest amount of damage, devours enemies)
- Magma Spitter (burn and bury whole legions and regions, enormous range)

As soon as players have constructed the Twilight Horn in their chasm, they will be able to send requests to join guilds. Once the building is upgraded to level 4, they will even be able to found their own Covenant. This way, players can interact with each other via world and covenant chat, send private messages and troops to reinforce a friend as well as trade resources.
