First Look at Monkey King Online

We took some time out to try Monkey King Online, the MMO RPG that is based off a popular novel saga Journey to the West, published by R2 Games (Wartune, League of Angels, Knight’s Fable). The main focus of the game is levelling up your character and acquiring new gear, improving skills, acquiring heroes/companions and generally unlocking new features as you kill off hordes of ancient enemies threatening to take over the heavens.

In the game we got to play as one of four of the main characters from the stories, of course we decided to try out Monkey himself and see just what the game was all about. We managed to play through the first 36 levels of gameplay (in just over 20 minutes) to get a good idea of just what the new title was offering; check out our video to see what we thought about the game.
